Based in Sydney for the past 30 years and is an Australian citizen. Born in the USA and holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Los Angeles in California, Laurie emigrated to Australia and began her career in advertising.

She has worked in both Australia and Hong Kong for leading advertising agencies in senior account management roles, successfully handling a diverse range of portfolios.

Her Mattel Toys experience included Marketing, Sales and General Management roles in Asia Pacific and California.

Laurie returned to Australia in 1995 to accept the role as Executive Director of the Newspaper Advertising Bureau where she worked with key stakeholders in the publishing industry.

Her introduction to recruitment was as an Executive Search consultant with Kris DeJager and Associates. She began her own recruitment consultancy called Brightpower in 2003.

An experienced manager who had been responsible for hiring many people, she used her expertise to focus on the Manufacturing, FMCG and Healthcare sectors. She has a wide range of experience in and knowledge of the Healthcare industry, and a genuine interest and passion for medical advancement.
